![]() ![]() ![]() But, the hype of the game had everyone in the world trying to tell me where to go and what to do. My best friend at the time had gotten me the game for Christmas, and I was so stoked to play it. The game that has been released a billion times over on all different consoles and platforms- it was the talk of all my friends! Everyone was addicted to Skyrim (one friend nearly got a divorce over it- true story)! I never got very far in the main storyline and always ended up doing the side-quests. I was an adult and found Oblivion to be strangely charming, but…odd. It would be years before I bumped into Oblivion again (when at last I got my own Xbox360). My friend was fighting the final boss, and seeing all the fire and broken buildings (as well as this massive monster on the screen) I just thought that I really needed to experience this game for myself some day. A friend in Middle School had invited me over for a gaming day and I just remember looking at that game in stunned silence at how awesome everything looked. Is it weird to say that I was late into the Elder Scrolls series of games and yet I wasn’t? My first experience with the Elder Scrolls was Oblivion. ![]()
